About The Rich Register

Founded in 1989, The Rich Register (or The Rich List, as we were known then) published its inaugural listing of America's wealthiest people in October of 1990. That first edition contained about 1200 individuals. Today, The Rich Register has grown to list nearly 6,000 men and women with an estimated net worth of $25 million or more and is America's only net worth-based resource of wealthy Americans. Employing a year-round research process, our research staff is trained in unique wealth tracking and asset valuation techniques and includes former investigative reporters for Forbes magazine's Forbes 400 listing of wealthy Americans. From nearly two decades of intensive research and data collection, The Rich Register has compiled a unique, proprietary database of wealthy Americans - who they are, where they are, and how they got that way. Why The Rich Register Is Unique

The Rich Register excels at one of the toughest tasks there is - researching, gathering data, and estimating wealth for high-net-worth individuals. It's what we do all day, every day of the year. The ultra-wealthy are generally low-profile and scattered in diverse, often obscure industries and places and, with extensive wealth histories in their wake, they are extraordinarily difficult to research. Aside from a handful of well-known individuals like Bill Gates or Donald Trump, the thousands of America's other super-rich are largely unknown to mainstream America. Moreover, most would rather remain relatively anonymous. And that's where The Rich Register comes in. While we continually uncover, research and profile wealthy Americans, that's only half the battle. We also track them as they sell companies and investments and move on to new ones, start private foundations, or set up family offices and investment companies to manage their assets. Put it all together and high-net-worth research becomes an enormous task. But it's why The Rich Register is the only reliable source of definitive information on nearly 6,000 of America's richest men and women. Click here to order!
